Korean Mustangs

Created in 1948, the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) received F-51Ds in 1950, just after the northern communist koreans attacked. These aircraft were first used by two fighter Wings (10th and 11th FW) for defense and later ground attack. Starting in 1955, the Mustangs began being replaced by F-86D and F Sabres provided by the Military Assistance program.
